Super soft , Fluffy , Light idlis which can be made in no time with no fermentation could be perfect for a breakfast for your toddler and even a lunch for your infant.
It’s an easy and quick recipe you can make for a busy Monday . A healthy diet recipe made with poha , oats and curd , not like regular idlis but a good alternative for your baby as regular idlis are made with rice and urad dal and with minimum 8 hours of fermentation and also no Eno fruit salt or no baking soda.
It is given to babies after 9 to 10 months as a lunch or quick breakfast.

Ingredients:

Poha-1 cup

Oats- ½ cup

Curd

Salt to taste

Fruit salt or baking soda a pinch
Recipe:

Place the oats in the skillet and cook over a med-high heat, shaking and tossing frequently, until they start to turn golden brown and smell toasty.

Place oats into a blender and blend until smooth powder.

Take poha and add it in a mixie jar to make a coarse powder.

Mix poha coarse powder and oats powder in a bowl.

Add salt and curd to the powder and mix it well.
- Add necessary water to make a consistent idli batter.

Add a pinch of fruit salt or baking soda in a batter.

Immediately pour idli batter to the idli moulds. Grease the idli plates before pouring the batter.

Steam the idlis for 15 minutes.

The fluffy and soft idlis are ready for your baby.
You can serve it with mint / coriander chutney or sambar to your kids.
