Apple Ragi Porridge for Babies:
Ingredients

- 3 to 4 tbsp Ragi flour
- 1 Cup water
- 1 medium apple
- 1 tsp Ghee
Preparing Ragi Powder
- Drain the ragi grains and dry them.
- After the ragi is fully dry, roast it on a medium flame till there is an aroma.
- Place the roasted ragi on a plate and let it cool.
- Use a grinder and make a fine powder.
- Use an air-tight container to store it.
Steps to make the porridge
- Wash, peel and cut the apple into small cubes.

- Grind the apple cubes to a fine puree. For small babies, it’s recommended to steam the apple first and then puree it.

- Add 1 tsp of Ghee in a pan and heat it.
- Add 2 tsp Ragi powder and toss it in ghee for about a minute on low flame.

- Now add apple puree in a mixture and stir it well.
- Add 1/2 cup of warm water.
- Keep stirring the mixture for 3 to 4 mins on low flame to bring a perfect texture and consistency.

- The mixture will begin to bubble.
- Turn off the flame and allow it to set down.

Notes
- Sterilize the bowls and spoons in a vessel with hot water for five minutes and keep it immersed in the same vessel before feeding your baby.
- Never introduce more than one food at a time when introducing solids to your baby.
- Check for allergy symptoms when you introduce a new food to your baby and stop feeding if you find any symptoms.
- Always check with your pediatrician before introducing any new food.
