An easy and a quick recipe made with sooji / rava and veggies. As a parent you might try more ways to include veggies in your child’s diet for nutrition. As it is delicious, there are less chances for kids to say no to it.
Again as we are using sooji it doesn’t need fermentation, soaking and grinding of rice and lentils. A great way to introduce veggies to your baby , just make it instantly and serve it with chutney or tomato ketchup.

Ingredients:
- Sooji / Rava – ½ cup
- Curd- ½ cup
- Onion-½ finely chopped
- Tomato -½ finely chopped
- Other veggies(Carrot,beetroot,beans) – ½ cup
- Ginger- 1 tsp
- Green chilli- 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves- 1 tsp
- Salt- as needed
- Water-½ cup
- Oil/ Ghee-as needed
Steps:
- Take rava in a bowl. Add half a cup of curd in it.
- Add water as per the requirement and mix it well to make a lumps free batter.
- Close the bowl with lid and keep the batter aside for half an hour.
- Take onion and tomato and chop it finely. Chop other vegetables as well.
- Now add the chopped vegetables, chilli ginger paste and finely chopped coriander leaves into the batter and mix it well.
- Add salt as per your taste.
- Mix the batter properly and add water if needed as rava absorbs too much of water.
- Heat a skillet or pan , add a ladle of sooji uttapam to it and form a circle.
- Sprinkle oil / ghee around the circle and cook it on a low / medium flame until brown.
- If you wish your baby will complete this without any arguments , spread some cheese.
- Now flip it carefully.
- Serve it hot with chutney or tomato ketchup.
